I just had to kick myself up the Ass and go modern. Still got the t595 shaped trumpet, but when i saw this in black , just needed a good clean, a GSXR 750 K6 , with supercorsas and an Akropovic, Renthal bars . Piazzo levers all for well under £3 and half grand....well i had to have it. spur of moment.

 

Now i cant get off it! And the rush is just fab.

 

Born happy again!!!

well done, im glad your enjoying yer new bike............as one wise man said "the times they are a changing"...................... i was the same as you and couldnt see past my 90's srad (and im still in you debt for the two mags you posted me all about them)................then my thunderace...........which was also a cracking bike though no way near as flickable.......................the solution was a gixer.....................best of both worlds....................get out there steve ans dont let this be a polish toy:wink:

oh i will polish it, gonna re anodise or replace any faded fastener....but ride  it  all the time! afraid it will get me in the shit tho......its too addictive to get it right up in the range but bloody 120 is on speedo by then before i know it. so maybe more high street posin than what i was doing today, ahem :biggrin:

40 quid for 4 front brake pad retaining pins! well i wanted shiny ones as the pads needed changing after pic...i ordered them without asking cost! bought new chain and sprocks as old ones were dull...and 25 quid for new nuts!! im gonna get an anodising kit and save some dosh. :wacko:

much as i like "owning" the triumph, it just left me flat. dunno why. This has made me feel a new lease of life again like my zx7r did...but even more!

 

No more feeling glum at bike meets or thinking im on the wrong bike. THIS is the bollox...WHO needs any more fer the money!
