Valentino Rossi outpaced in Phillip Island

The forthcoming Valencia MotoGP test can’t come soon enough for Valentino Rossi after his penultimate appearance for Ducati in Australia yesterday proved to be another humbling experience. The Italian will be back on a factory Yamaha YZR-M1 at the Valencia test where he will begin the journey of trying to prove that at 33 he is still fast enough to fight...

Wosi...

"He had his 25pt failure, same as the others, but it was HIS fault. The next race he blobbed it..then he wrote himself off under presssure. This is the story of Casey. Fast, but fragile..the same as Freddie."

He's had 1 self-fault race crash in 2 years & 1 injury that's forced him to sit out races... who's the only other rider out there with that record... Jorge. Last year was Stoner's year, this is Jorge's. Dani binned his chances with a crash that was entirely his own fault... what's the big deal?

This is the story of Rossi, Dani, Casey & Jorge. They've all done it... I'll ask you again, have you been watching racing long?

... & wrote himself off under pressure?... you're talking about his 2nd flying lap in qualifying?... that sort of pressure?

Oh, & Stoner's time on the 2010 Ducati still beats JL's 2012 time to take the win at PI in almost identical conditions... so fragile... so fragile he can crash 5 times in a season & still set times like that... shows real mental weakness that does...

He did what he had to do... win or bin... justified his slection for a  factory Honda ride & won... 15 races so far... that's 6 more than JL... & 6 more than DP... in other words this entire season's worth of wins for the 2 of them... fragile indeed.

Still... I know you respect Stoner, as a racer, because you've said you do... so you respect him for all of that, yeah?

Bitter Twats

May I suggest putting your tongue elsewhere if you don't like the taste of yellow arse cartoon boy.

"IF Rossi STARTS getting results". Not sounding very confident in your own warped little mind are you?

YES BUT,NO BUT YES

What a personality, and that`s all we need to keep Moto GP great !  Where would we be without the wonderful sight of Rossi fiddling with his downstair`s furniture,or removing the used condom from his back bedroom, all while wearing his leather`s? We certainly don`t care where he finishes or how far behind the winner he is. No,no as long as were entertained, that`s all that matter`s. The fact that he`s keeping better rider`s off Work`s bikes matter`s not a jot. I mean, where would this class be without him? 3 manufacturer`s,6 Work`s bike`s and 5 satty`s,goodness know`s what dire strait`s this series would be in without HIM?

AHh.....WHAT A LIST....

OH where to start ? Much quicker to go the other route,so NOT the yank`s. And that just leave`s the top 5 Moto2 rider`s and all the rest in moto gp!    AB..SB..CC..AEs..RDp.. and a couple from WSB. That`ll do pig!                But would any of them be as "entertaining" ?...... `Cos that`s what it`s all about ! Ask Doohan and Lawson or Rainey, and maybe Mr.Robert`s snr wow yes, they were entertaining? Oh,... the laugh`s they gave us.       O.K. none of `em ignored flag`s as often, but that`s "entertainment",    and fair enough none of `em knocked other rider`s off with such regularity, but that`s "entertainment",cor blimey, don`t we miss them there jape`s?????????????

BloodB is right

Definition of 'entertainment'     'An event, performance, or activity designed to entertain others'    MotoGP is very much an entertainment and any 'added value' provided can only enhance the experience.  If you don't like it switch off.

A COUPLE IS TWO,{ 2 }..

And Max ain`t one of THEM,he`s had his chance,oh and yes he`s a multiple World Champion,cor..don`t that mean a lot ! Ago got 15 of `em,Angel got 12+1,wow that proves "everything" !Ha,ha bloody ha.            JR and MM are 2 rider`s who should be given a go,but as long as there are "mug`s" around, who know very, very little about M`cycle racing, then Mr.excuse will still be allowed on the grid. Money, money, money it`s a greedy world.        And Rossi is about on the same level as Hayden...ooh err.....fast ??                 Do i think Rossi will ever get to the level of JL or DP ?  NOT A HOPE IN HELL.             I still remember all the bollock`s spouted by the yellow bottom clencher`s when their "hero" jumped on the Ducati, "fastest bike in a straight line, the corner`s,thereafter, will look after themselves". Bollock`s. He`ll soon have the bike sorted and be winning by mid-season. Bollock`s.    And after two year`s he`s managed to turn a consistant podium filler into a joke. But at least he managed to rip every mo-fo mug off while he "tried" to get anywhere near as quick as Stoner.  He failed miserably and just like his team-mate it will not make the slightest difference what bike he ride`s,he is FINISHED! FULL STOP.

Bitter and twisted

Revnev and nostro, what a pair of bitter and twisted rossi haters.....Roll on valencia test, when the ducati riders are struggling and rossi is up the pointy end of the times.

Of course your man wont be there as he has thrown in the towel as he doesn't have the mental strength to carry on.Shame he could't win back to back titles, unlike a true great who has done it on more than one occasion.

To claim that there isn't anything severely wrong with the Ducati is absurd. Even Stoner, the hugely impressive yardstick waved by most, was struggling with it for his final few seasons, either winning or binning - something that changed drastically with his move to Honda. I'll pin my colours to the mast and say we will see a noticeable improvement by Rossi once he gets back on the Yamaha, and a noticeable drop in Dovi once he throws his leg over the Ducati at the first test. I honestly hope Dovi/Ducati/Audi money sort it out though - we desperately need more competitive bikes on the grid.
