Was that taken with one of those handycam hand held cameras?

How could anyone get convicted on that evidence? The camera was all over the place. For all we know a peregrine falcon might have flashed between the bike and the camera.

I don't think this evidence should have been enough to convict him but it looks like I'm wrong. No MOT though tut tut.

I don't know about anyone else on here, but when I started driving/riding, the speed limit on motorways and dual carriageways was 70mph. So I knew what I was signing up for. If you’re not happy about that, why did you bother getting your licence in the first place? You don’t own the roads or even have a right to use them at all. You have a permit, that you were given on the basis that you demonstrated an understanding of the rules (e.g. speed limits), and some basic machine control (e.g. throttle). If you’re later found to be sorely lacking in either of those departments, your permit can be revoked. Where’s the injustice in that? We all break the speed limit to a degree, but if you get caught, take the rap and shut the fuck up.

If your speeding is in obvious disregard of public safety, you can get a more serious penalty. Some are suggesting that 152mph is fine provided no one got hurt. Ok, what if you found out that your brand new house had been built by cowboys and was liable to collapse, killing your unsuspecting family? Would you say ‘don’t worry, it hasn’t collapsed yet, and I’m sure there’s a good reason why they built it that way’? No. You’d hunt down the builder, show him a big book of building regulations, and then sue the arse off him.

....Right firstly, we all know that the speed limit is 70mph, and if caught much over this your liable to be butt f**cked by the boys in blue, however i do have a serious question on this.

Why is it that when a "biker" is caught over the limit by a large amount it amounts to dangerous driving in the eyes of the law and courts regardless of road conditions,weather, traffic flow, time of day/night BUT and there is a big BUT when the Police drive at these speeds in "hot pursuits" of offenders it's "skillful driving" and dedicated officers with "specialist training"

The reason i ask this question is:

Are the powers that be telling me that the Police who are superhuman don't make mistakes and crash or kill anyone else in the process,  is this why they are allowed to reach these speeds.

The only way to be able to do these speeds is to practice this speed alot, in other words track time, I don't see that some training twice ayear makes you an authority at these speeds. Further more i think its one rule for one and another for the plebs.

152mph is just that...no matter who is doing it, normal plebs or superhuman coppers.
