Hi

did it 4 years ago and headed to the moselle valley. Went 2nd week in september. Very cold at night but glorious in the day.

A day and night at the Nurgurgring just for good measure

Spend

more time on the roads around Luxembourg and the roads along the French/Belgian border... I remember passing through and stopping for lunch in a town called Revin and then going onto Bouillon... the roads were totally awesome... never ending twists and racetrack-smooth tarmac!

Infact... I might come too!!!   Ha ha!!

cheers folks

the loose plan at the momnet is

Hereford to Mons or Aachen day 1

B258 to Nurburgring, and then B257 to Bitburg (home of the brewery Bitte ein Bit), and tehn B51 to Saarbrucken - Day 2

Head to Baden Baden a.m.  day 3, Then the B500 and other assorted roads down to Waldshut in the afternoon

Head back up a.m. day 4, then head into France - Nancy and onto Rheims (via Verdun day 4.

Rheims back to Hereford day 5

But this is a loose plan and subject to major changes and amendments as we (me and a few mates) find better roads/places of interest

I'm

always 'map man' when we go.

I have a clear fronted map holder that magnetises to the tank and I find the best thing to do is just keep it open in the area you are and make it up as you go along with a vague destination in mind. Have a great trip chap!

Oh and as BB41 says... do the Nurburgring. It truly is awesome to ride!

I tend to do route cards beforehand, again put them in the map holder on the tank bag

Just saying road name/number and junction to turn at can get a long journey onto a single page that way
