Cal Crutchlow warns Bradley Smith ahead of MotoGP debut

Cal Crutchlow has warned new Monster Yamaha Tech 3 teammate Bradley Smith not to make the same mistake he did in 2011 by pushing too hard too soon in his rookie MotoGP campaign. Smith will make his YZR-M1 debut next Tuesday when preparations for the 2013 MotoGP campaign get underway in Valencia. And Crutchlow said he spoke to the 21-year-old to take...

oh gawd, don't tell 'Sir'B' to slow down anymore, or he'll be needing to put his feet down on the straight. He's already the biggest disappointment of the year, coming from Moto2, but at least 'SirB' does have the title of 'under-achiever of the year' and jumps on an M1 for 2 more embarrassing years.

A Brit giving advice - This is hysterical

"Nobody is going to come in and win immediately".

Cal needs to clearly state "BY BRITISH STANDARDS ONLY". 30 TO 40 YEARS

HE MUSTA FORGOT ABOUT THESE FIRST YEAR WINNERS IN MOTOGP RACES!!!!

2002 - Rossi won the first race. He won 11 races and the World Championship.

2002 - Biaggi got 2 wins first year in Motogp.

2006 - Dani Pedrosa in his rookie start got 2nd the first race and by race 4 in China got his 1 Motogp win.

2007 - Jorge Lorenzo got a 3rd, 2nd and a win immediately.

2012 - BEN SPIES GOT TWO PODIUMS WHEN HE WAS CROWNED 2012 ROOKIE OF THE YEAR. HE GOT a 3RD place and a 2nd PLACE.!!!!!!!!!!

Not so fast Milky ...

Bradl was 2012 'Rookie of the year'.

Spies was 2012 'Disappointment of the year' and got shafted by Dovi and Cal - both at the same time.

lol @ Milky

I'm pretty sure 2002 wasn't Val's nor Biggai's first year in MotoGP - it was the first year of the 4 strokes. Clearly you just started watching bike racing yesterday.

Lorenzo's first year was 2008 and spies' first was 2010 when he was rookie of the year.

You know nowt. Up to now us Brits(Real Men)have tended to concentrate on WSBK- Foggy,Hodgson,Toseland,Sykes.Give Crutchlow equal machinery and he'd slaughter the rest of the pixies,so zip it yank.

So rounding out the year lets look towards 2013...

Top 4 bikes of 2013 will be 2 x Factory Honda and 2 x Factory Yam
Second 4 bikes will be 2 x B-Team Hondas, 1 x T3 Yam and 1 x Duke (AD/BS/NH TBC)
Last four bikes will be 3 x Dukes and 1 x T3 Yam
