Less than 30 left: Honda RVF750 RC45

With more examples currently on a SORN (25) than there are licensed for road use (12), the RVF750 – arguably the 1990s superbike – is apparently an endangered species. There’s no denying its V4 motor is the star of the show, a hand-crafted statement of excellence, but for the money (north of £18,000 in 1994), it’s fair to say that prospective...

So the RC45 had the wheels off a 1993 CBR600??

Don't remember the CBR having a 16" front wheel or a single sided 6" rear wheel..............

The reason so few are left on the road is so many are sitting in 'collections' of rich people who have no intention of riding them. These RC45's were never a 'real world' bike that ordinary people could aspire to, even on the second hand market.

MCN mistakes (as usual)

Well said Dazza. Do MCN writers actually do any research or even understand what they are writing. CBR600 never had a single sided swinger, so I don't think the RC45 had CBR wheels, with them facts there are probably 3 times the RC45's on the road as the comic says.

CBR wheels

Yes, you're absolutely right. The RC45 didn't have 'exactly' the same wheels as a CBR600 but it did have wheels that were the same five spoke design. That's the point we're making, ditto with mirrors etc

RC 30 yes, SP2 yes but the RC45? It looks huge, looks daft now with those lights considering Ducati had the Polyelipsoid lights at the same time. V4 likely great but.......

That may be the point you were making, but that's not how the article reads.  It reads like you don't know what you're talking about.  Besides, PVM, Dymag, etc make/made 5 spoke wheels, but does that also mean they are the same as a 1993 CBR600??  No.

If you want to make a point, then make it properly!!
