Dani Pedrosa in seventh heaven in Valencia

Dani Pedrosa might not have won an elusive first MotoGP world title in 2012, but the Spaniard did at least take the honour of winning the most races after he took a seventh win in Valencia yesterday. A decision to switch from wet to slick tyres at the end of the warm-up lap, which meant he had to start the 30-lap...

Superb displaying of focused controlled agression again by Pedrosa. Stoner has forced him to raise his game another notch and he has responded. Dani makes a good point about focus and pressure too. Jorge said he would risk more in this race with the title sewn up and so he did, not knowing Dani was no longer up his date he took a punt and lost. That was a whopper of an off.

As Simon Crafar said on der telly, Pedrosa has in the past perhaps lacked a little self belief at this level. Surely all such thoughts have been erased now. Dani is the complete racer and to my mind he has a wee riding edge on Lorenzo with his ability to pick the bike up and drive it hard off the corners so quickly. All the corner speed in the world won't help Lorenzo here, especially given Dani is no mug there, nor on the brakes anymore.

Could have, should have ...........

All well and good, however whenever it mattered Pedrosa did not win or fell or finished far to low.

By round 8 my guess is Stoner most probably didn't care too much of a flying fish hook about much other than riding off over the horizon into the sunset

I would say by round 4 next year we will know if Pedrosa is going to always be the bridesmaid or if he is able to finally to get a look at the major silverware.
