Scott Redding buoyed by Moto2 weight limit for 2013

Scott Redding’s 2013 world title hopes got a huge early boost in Valencia last weekend when a minimum weight limit was approved for the Moto2 class. A minimum weight limit of 215kg will be enforced, which includes the bike and rider in full racing kit. The move was a victory for Redding and his Marc VDS Racing squad, who have repeatedly lobbied...

Now for some real racing, MCN never even put it up. Michael Rutter smoked 'em again at Macau. that's 8 titles there now, and yes the top quarter was full of Brits, real racers, oh a yank Mark Miller finished 15th, I wonder if they'll be sending him to the TT, or North West 200, as their best roadracer, when it comes to road racing, the yanks are nowhere to be seen.

Congrats to Michael, a great all round rider, and a brilliant ride from all the Brits.

Cornbowl....

Picked up a copy of PB on my way to the US this week.  Great interview with Rutter.  Always liked him, seems a cool kind of guy.

Benny, you changed your stats from podiums to wins in the very next thread....again, tailored to show Redding look bad.  Whilst he's not quite in the same league as Marquez, Pol or Luthi, did you watch the Silverstone race by chance?  he took the fight to Marc and came off better (just) even though Marquez was blitzing him on the 2 long straights.  Come on mate, give him a bit of credit.

Above all else on this forum it is you I expect consistency from!

Yes, Michael's a great rider on road and track, and imo was unlucky in not winning a BSB title, but he's a good ambassador for the sport. His Dad, Tony, was a great road racer and top TT rider as well, he actually  brought to notice, the poor quality leathers that were being sold in the 70's that were made from cheap sheep hide, which tore to pieces and gave very little protection to the rider on impact.
