Hi eyeballpaulmackelden phew, and welcome to the site:smile

The two end cylinder are exposed to the weather,so if the plug caps are not seated properly with there rubber upper seal, or are damaged or replaced with the wrong ones then water and or condensation can get into the spark plug tunnel. This will cause the problem you have, you may need to replace the two outer plug caps before your winter sets in and the problem becomes chronic.(also check the ends of the H.T. leads were they screw into the caps, there could be corrosion in the end of the lead and cap or both) Good Luck
