Marc Marquez exciting for MotoGP, says Nicky Hayden

Nicky Hayden believes the arrival of controversial but fast Spaniard Marc Marquez in MotoGP next season will inject fresh excitement and interest into the premier class. The reigning Moto2 world champion made an impressive MotoGP debut in last week’s weather-hit test in Valencia when he finished just over a second behind new Repsol Honda teammate Dani Pedrosa. Marquez was seventh quickest at...

a totally irrelevant one.

Marquez will win a MotoGP race before a British rider??
Possibly, who knows. What is more certain is that he`ll win one before a yank.

Diablo

If we invested all our money in young motorcycle riders we would have no money left to run the country, then our economy would collapse and we would have youth umemployment of 50% and no money to watch motorcycle racing. And that would be terrible. Im happy the way we are thanks.

Of course Marquez will win a race before a Brit, for a start he is being fast tracked to the top which is why the rules were changed mid season with regards Rookies not being allowed to go straight to a works team, then lo and behold he's in the Repsol squad, a favoured son.

The Honda is by far the best bike, regardless of Jorge winning the title, the Honda won most races and the Honda could simply blast the Yamaha down the straight, Jorge was hanging on for the last 7 or so races, luckily he got some points/wins on board early doors.

Cal would be closer to the top if he had the same backing as Marc has enjoyed, some of his appaling riding has gone unpunished ths year in MOTO2, why is that i wonder.

Cal came 7th

his teammate finished 4th in the 2012 World Championship on his first try on the best satellite bike in Motogp.

A shitpig Ducati GP12 and a Honda satellite pushed him in 7th, so even if he miraculously got a Dovi results or like Spies did when in Tech 3 and got the ride he would not do better.

He was Rookie of the year with 12th place in 2011.FFS........ Imagine that!!!!

BRITnLAST  -  that's the new word to add to the Queens language.

I fear that in 1783 your country was erroneously granted independence  we should have kept control of the colonies and educated you in the ways of the world.  As it is only 10 pecent of Americans actually hold a passport and the rest know nothing of the world outside the U.S.     I figure from the times you post you are an American airman based in the UK!

Mildenhall or Lakenheath bud ?   I regularly visit family in Brandon and would be only too pleased to drop in and offer you a Knuckle sandwich........
