The Honda lane..
Honda have a better bike than Yamaha..the manufacturers table doesn't lie, just like the riders table which meant Lorenzo was the best rider.
Taking all points scored by the respective manufacturer prototypes..
Honda: 899 - Yamaha: 807 - Ducati: 427
And that's with Bautista and rookie Bradl on the satellite bikes!
Honda didn't have the advantage they had last year, as shown by Stoners results this year, and Yamaha closed the gap a little. It was still pretty clear the RCV was the better bike though.
Nearly all the bike's overtaking was done on the straights, reminscent of Ducati in 2007.
They brought the 2013 bike for mid-season and the results from there on in tell the story.
Here's what Cal had to say..
"Our bike's no good round here. If you see, Lorenzo's losing half a second in one sector to Casey and Dani over the last two days. He stepped it up in qualifying but we can't change down as fast as them, so at the hairpin (Honda corner) you have to go back four gears we have to use the clutch, with their seamless shift they don't."
"Coming out, we can't change gear with any spin so if our bike is spinning, we have to keep delaying and rolling the throttle. It's like riding a 600 or a Superbike as that's what you have to do. It's difficult and that's where we are losing the time."
Of course, we could all take Hedgey's word for it over just about every other informed opinion in the paddock?
