Filippo Preziosi replaced in Ducati management shake-up

The fallout from Valentino Rossi’s disastrous two-year spell with Ducati is starting to be felt, with Filippo Preziosi and Alessandro Cicognani replaced in a major management shake-up. The highest profile casualty is Preziosi, who has been an instrumental figure at Ducati Corse since the Bologna factory entered MotoGP back in 2003. He was widely acclaimed in 2007 when Casey Stoner won the...

Rossi vindicated..

Be very afraid my cross dresing little orange thong sniffers..this is just part One.

When Valentino starts putting the second M1 up front, where Ben Spies failed so miserably, the ill judged schadenfreude and karma jibes will come back to haunt, totally blowing Nostro, Bulto and good few others credibility, clean out the water.

Haha..race fans? Don't make me fkin laugh. Just, bitter trolling dullards with little to offer in terms of racing insight.

Preziosi said last week, he took the credit for the good times and must do the same for the bad.

The problem is..It was Casey Stoner who made the difference and produced the goods, not him. This has been acknowledged as fact by senior Ducati management now.

Stoners lack of precise development feedback was a major part of his problem though..and it should be recognised that #1 rider and crew chief Gabbarini didn't have the required skills in this department.

They proved the same this year as Dani took on board changes with improved results second half..while the other side of the Repsol garage pissed and moaned, then crashed themselves out of contention..AGAIN.

Riding around problems and being a talented, lazy bastard only gets you so far at this level.

Many #46ers will be happy at this news and ready to hand out a few karmic lessons of their own in the next months.

Saying this..Nobody wants to see Ducati fall by the wayside and continue with that bike as is.

Good luck to the new team..they're going to need it.

Quiz time

Which bitter orange thong wearer posted this comment recently?

"No Preziosi has not got the flick...

...all rumour and scuttlebutt. Preziosi is the man who built a winner with limited resource. Ducati have just 86'ed their main problem."

Heavyweight Changes

It's good to see Audi taking a sensible approach to turning Ducati/Corse around. I think a hefty dose of concentrated German efficiency with a history of winning inserted into the core of the Corse dept is exactly what is required. Also, jiggling about the heads that remember what winning was like at Ducati can only be a good thing. The German's obviously feel that Filippo Preziosi's vision and neurons are still required and, for me, that's another good thing. I expect we'll see some pretty handy weapons coming out of Borgo Panigale over the next couple of years and the question is, who is going to be the young spunker to take advantage of it?

1/  Why the hate?  It's bike racing.  You Rossi fans are a strange lot.

2/  Stoner gay?  Now which rider is married with a daughter and which rider has a boyfriend Uchio?  :D

Such is the way of the world

Rossi fails miserably on a very capable motorcycle and gets given a M1, whilst Preziosi is made to fall on his sword for Rossi's inadequacies.

was wosi there then?

"Stoner's lack of precise development feedback was a major part of his problem though.." - you make it sound like you were there! How'd you know? And what on earth does that say for the GOAT and his legendary crew chief for the past 2 years? Presumably they just didn't bother to try to make it better in their time with it.

Credibility..

Rossi gave Ducati direction..and it may be a very capable motorcycle compared to your smoky, rattling old two valve, but at this new bar level the Japs have set, even Casey Stoner in full cry with the red mist in his eyes would have been uncompetitive.

Fk..he wasn't competitive for the title in 2010 with six rookies on the grid and two crocked aliens, when the bike was closer. Five crashes in 18 races was hardly taming the beast eh?

A nine time champ with the most top class wins in history and a proven development track record, or the opinion of an engineer whose shattered ego forced him to confront his own inadequacies and that had him willingly falling on his own sword at the feet of Furusawa?

Top Audi industry insiders who manage a multi national, successful organisation, or the rambling bleatings of a washed up Kiwi racer who beat a few CX500's with a hate agenda?

Rossi gave Ducati direction..

Fuck me, get real bud. Rossi done dick apart from moan about this/that and the other ffs. But due to his phenominal following much of it is ignored. But 'he who shout's loudest 'aint always right'.

That aside, all the best against Juve bud.

You're confusing Rossi with Stoner sunshine..constructive criticism perhaps, moaning no.

And please don't give us all that old cobblers Stoner would still be winning on a CF monocoque 1000cc bike, because without Rossi that's what they'd still be running..probably behind the ART.

0-2 and looking poor. DiMatteo on borrowed time? Fkin Abramovich.
