When Valentino starts putting the second M1 up front, where Ben Spies failed so miserably, the ill judged schadenfreude and karma jibes will come back to haunt, totally blowing Nostro, Bulto and good few others credibility, clean out the water.

Preziosi said last week, he took the credit for the good times and must do the same for the bad.

The problem is..It was Casey Stoner who made the difference and produced the goods, not him. This has been acknowledged as fact by senior Ducati management now.

Stoners lack of precise development feedback was a major part of his problem though..and it should be recognised that #1 rider and crew chief Gabbarini didn't have the required skills in this department. 

They proved the same this year as Dani took on board changes with improved results second half..while the other side of the Repsol garage pissed and moaned, then crashed themselves out of contention..AGAIN.

Riding around problems and being a talented, lazy bastard only gets you so far at this level.

Many #46ers will be happy at this news and ready to hand out a few karmic lessons of their own in the next months.

Saying this..Nobody wants to see Ducati fall by the wayside and continue with that bike as is.

Good luck to the new team..they're going to need it.

Heavyweight Changes

It's good to see Audi taking a sensible approach to turning Ducati/Corse around. I think a hefty dose of concentrated German efficiency with a history of winning inserted into the core of the Corse dept is exactly what is required. Also, jiggling about the heads that remember what winning was like at Ducati can only be a good thing. The German's obviously feel that Filippo Preziosi's vision and neurons are still required and, for me, that's another good thing. I expect we'll see some pretty handy weapons coming out of Borgo Panigale over the next couple of years and the question is, who is going to be the young spunker to take advantage of it?

Rossi fails miserably on a very capable motorcycle and gets given a M1, whilst Preziosi is made to fall on his sword for Rossi's inadequacies.
