Helmet safety ratings

Hi all

I'm on the lookout for a new helmet and i've been looking at this Shoei:

Can anyone tell me what safety rating i should be looking out for? Is it just ACU gold sticker or is that SHARP rating still used?

Thanks

Rob

yo

ive got a qwest really nice lid....though if i was buying a new helmet i would checkout the reevu, rear view helmet, allows you to see everything behind you...

That could save your life but not good for taking das as you have to show the instructor you are doing lifesavers etc...

as for sharp ratings i dont know mate...but shoei are litterally bulletproof

Caberg V2R

I did a lot of research when I was buying my helmet, and ended up with a Caberg V2R.

It's a 5 star SHARP rating for less than £100, and fitted me perfectly.

It's not much to look at and it looks larger than some other helmets but I bought it for its performance when I'm bouncing down the road!...

Find yourself 3 or 4 helmets that you like the look of (4*+) and go and try them on, then choose the one that fits best.
