Argentina dropped from 2013 MotoGP calendar

The new Autodromo de Rio Hondo track was pencilled in to host round two of the 2013 world championship on April 14. But Dorna has today (Friday) confirmed that the race will not go ahead and as a result the first round...

Racing High!

Take MotoGP to Kyalami, South Africa - great technical track with the added complication of racing at altitude.

There's a large knowledgable fan-base there.

nice try MCN

At least use a picture from the Argentine GP in 1999 if you label it as such. .....Doohan was repsol Honda number 1 in 1999, but didn't take part in the Argentine GP what with having a fooked leg from his accident earlier in the season......

no MotoGP in Brazil ....

..... probably because there isn't an FIM compliant track in Brazil any more.  The Autódromo Internacional Nelson Piquet has been built over for the Rio Olympics, while the Autódromo Internacional de Curitiba and the Autódromo José Carlos Pace are way too dangerous for bikes.  There are other circuits, but they'd need a small fortune spending on them to bring them up to scratch.  Still, Brazil is a boom economy so fingers crossed ....

If I had my way

they'd have been banned from the Olympics. Videos were posted online of an argy athlete "training" on war memorials in the Falklands, seemingly with the full knowledge and support of his government. Utter scum.

@ Moany100 - you have to understand WHY the yanks call it 'THE WORLD SERIES'. It's not about other countries at all and it isn't self indulgent either. Google it.

Really hate that Qatar race. Are there any spectators at that race.? Certainly none on the corners.

Hey Argentina.....taking private property (Repsol) has consequences.  The sooner you get rid of that socialist witch the better off everyone will be.
