Fkin hell Bulto..we swap banter and stats month in year out, trying to make sense of it all, trying to factor in differing conditions, tyres etc. then when bikes are on the track together, you seem to be saying it's not relevant?
Hayden was only 3 tenths off his QP time from the race at Jerez and still nearly 7 tenths behind a production Superbike. That's the harsh reality for MotoGP and Ducati my friend..but it is a fair point.
There was a 3 day test at Jerez at the end of March. Stoner was fastest, on the last day, with a 38.7, Val was fastest Ducati clocking 39.7 Nicky was 8th 2 tenths slower.
Pedrosa, the man who won the most races this year on the mighty RCV, was only a second faster than Laverty on the Aprilia.
Whichever way you look at the times from Jerez yesterday, it's embarrassing for Ducati and it's embarrassing for MotoGP.
What will be of more concern is Checa being nearly 3 seconds slower than Laverty on the new Panigale, complete with Preziosi inspired, monocoque chassis they put all their eggs in the same basket with.
