Nicky Hayden confident Ducati can cure understeer issue

Nicky Hayden remains confident Ducati can solve a persistent understeer issue that has dogged the Desmosedici MotoGP project in recent years. The understeer issue was a constant complaint of Valentino Rossi during his disastrous two-year stint with Ducati, which ended in him walking out to sign a new deal with Yamaha for 2013 and 2014. Hayden believes Ducati made some progress in...

So funny

You experts are not really serious aren't you?

Stoner won on a winning Ducati. Yes he was the best riding around problems and yes that makes him a hell of a rider.

The problem is that Ducati stopped been a winner bike and Honda and Yamaha jumped in with much better overall packages. First it was the Honda with the seamless gearbox that cought averybody with their pans down, that's why Stoner got it easilly and all satellite teams were fliying... and the 2nd year it was Yamaha who closed substancially the gap and thank to my fellow countryman got the title.

Ducati is nowhere, of course the current bike is a better bike than the previous one, all riders said it but at this level, having just a litle chatter send you backwards, imaging losing with no reason the front end!

You all like to accuse a 9 times World Champion for Ducati's lack of R&D. Stoner used to say the same about development and YES we have been unfear to him thinking he was just moaning but... the problem remains. Ducati does not have the know how with this grip level to make it work. WSBK is another story and they slept in the laurels. Valentino is not a mechanic, he says what he feels (and he is one of the best doing so) and the engineers deliver. He does not build chassis or engines. the bike is a lump, Preziosi and his team could not solve anything and when they had a little improvement it only worked partially, in some tracks and ruining something else... That's why he addressed Furosawa and that's why he is gone... Rossi's development skill have been judjed by far more competent than you orange red necks. Rossi's talent is undoubdet by the majority of MotoGP fans, MotoGP survived because of Rossi's spectacles and new ways of celebrating victory. Rossi competed against all modern rider's and defited them all. He is the best rider of them all. Anyone stating that winning 9 World Tiltles is due to Galactic alignement is at list stupid and should have no wright to post here anymore, you might dislique Rossi or love Stoner but Rossi is still the GOAT, a fighter that kept trying and battleling until the end. He left to try to win another one, the toughest one to date. Loosers go fishing...

Oh I quite agree Devil boy

Rossi's talent is undoubted by the majority of G.P fans. That talent lies somewhere below true Alien status. Some would say now that others have become better than Rossi that he's little more than a mid pack rider now. And all in the prime of his life. Oh dear.

Your GOAT will be doing what goats do best 2013. Feeding off scraps.

As you say Eddl

a simply unthinkable scenario. Nothing points to this being a possible reality.

Ducati

First of all I admire Hayden's optimism but then looking back at other years it is his usual outlook but one that more often or not has not turned to reality.
I certainly hope I am wrong and that Ducati can now move a further step forward nearer to their rivals because if they can't now I doubt they ever will.

As far as Rossi being back at Yamaha is concerned I do not see how anyone on here can know exactly what the result will be although it is highly unlikely he will be a mid pack rider.
Whether he will regularly beat Lorenzo Pedrosa or even Marquez is still questionable but you can almost guarantee he will be trying his best and enjoying his riding again.

A recent quote from Edwards................

I don't think Valentino cares. He just wants to get on a bike he can ride and have fun on.He's still fast as shit.

But Buelligan

Time and again you've told us how you know what is going to happen regarding Mr Rossi, and I must say your track record is rather poor.

If it's like a spanked arse now can you imagine what it will be like if Rossi podiums in Qatar?
