me 1982, my brother belonged to a side car team so had no choice really!! Didn't get to 40 and thought it would be a good idea to do.

Very much on a bucket list for some after a certain age

Booked the test for as soon as possible, was a jolly long wait though (several months).   Read a couple of books on riding while 16, started riding on my 17th birthday.

Old man was keen to teach me to drive, so passed the car test a bit later that year - so got the lot before 18.

I passed my

car test after my bike, I think in 1983 without looking.  A lifetime ago.

I  used to think Centurion helmets were cool with the popper peak:smile

Centurian Helmets

I had one of those - in yellow - with a popper peak.  Thought it was the bees knees.  Then I got a Griffin full face. (1978ish)

Finally took my test when I was 35! (Having got rid of a husband that hates bikes:wacko:)

why bb ??

cos i thought if i got a big bike i'd stand a better chance of attracting the ' ladies '

only joking actually was just listening to ' bat out of hell ' & this is a photo that spings to mind when the word ' hell ' is mentioned ..

whatever you do , dont mention the word ' tampax ' cos you DONT wanna see what pic that brings up ????

p.s also had a centurian helmet ( full face ) circa 80 / 81
