Just bought a 1999 yamaha r6 which as been under cover in a back garden for the last 5 years.i have put some wd 40 down the plug holes and got it turning.i've been told to put cheap oil in and run it for a while then put decent oil in.I thought flushing oil would be better.Should i removed the cam cover and oil the cams ect.Carl

I'd flush the tank, all fuel lines and give the carbs a good clean as well before firing it up. Make sure the water pump is working along with an oil filter/fuel filter change.
