Video: French Journalist has FJR1300 accident

One of MCN's French colleagues from Moto journal had an unfortunate accident last week while out testing the new Yamaha FJR1300. While riding down a pier, he inadvertently clipped one of his pannier off a bollard, which was just enough to send him out of control... The journalist escaped luckily, with just bruising and an injured thumb.

ABS and Traction Control

this is the kind of test we are looking for, stop all this talk of pulling wheelies, we want to know how it performs in the new euro sailing boat escape test, this one passed, great work.

Odd Bollard!!

Couple of bollards just stuck in random places? Whats the point? And they paint them a great colour. Really visible, i must say!!!. Also its shorter than the others and would be in his blind-spot quite easily. Could of happened to anyone.

Idiot

My guess is the bollards are there to keep motor vehicles away from the edge so why does this journalist think it doesn't apply to him.

At least "journalist" explains why there was a camera filming it. Bet it takes forever for him to live that one down.

New FJR

The new FJR handled fairly well at low speeds despite the weight (on my head) but once stopped it was hard to start, I believe the new engine is prone to flooding.

Well I heard the captain of one of the yachts said 'if you are in the area, drop in', so he did! What the hell was he trying to show riding around there?
