Ducatti shamed by Royal Enfield

Had a great time at Motorcycle live last week. The highlight had to be when me and my mate Allan took part in the test bike ride out - sign up, choose your bike and off you go on a 10 mile route around the NEC. Allan being young and stupid choose the Ducatti 848Evo.
I on the other hand, being slightly older and therefore more sensible choose to ride a Royal Enfield Bullit 500 - not everyones cup of tea but something I've always wanted to try. I laughed my head off all the way round, the bike was great fun. What made it even better was the fact that Allan was stuck behind me for the whole route on the Ducatti, having been placed there in our groups riding order. He had to stare at the Enfields no-hurry backside while struggling to hold back the Ducatti's speed hungry throttle. Comedy gold! Thanks to everyone at the show who made it so much fun yet again.

How?

How was "Ducatti" shamed?

I`ve been stuck behind shitty bikes before on a Ducati and it never crossed my mind to be ashamed.

If

you can spell Ducati - Ducatti, can I spell Royal Enfield - Royal Henfield?  Like where the Queen keeps her chickens.

My ride on the Enfield - and a legend is born!

Fair enough, I was using a little bit of artistic licence here - but the way I will forever tell the story is that my mate Allan couldn't overtake me and the humble Enfield even through he was astride a dead flash and somewhat quicker Ducatti. I will refrain from mentioning that as we were riding in the formation designated by the instructors he wasn't able to overtake. Nope, I'll keep it simple - as far as my yet to be born grandchildren will ever know the plonker couldn't catch me because of my close to superhuman ability's on a motorbike. Hence, one shamed Ducatti - if only in my warped imagination!
