Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner clash over Laguna ’08 again

Long running tension and animosity between Valentino Rossi and Casey Stoner is showing no sign of letting up, despite the Australian’s retirement from MotoGP at the end of the season. The trigger for another clash has once again been the controversial and famous clash between the pair at Laguna Seca in 2008. In an interview with Dainese’s Legends magazine, Ducati flop Rossi...

...the guy has all the charisma and social graces of an ape. Why say that to Winterbottom? Is there "history" between them?

Funny how you can bend facts. Just explain a few things to me. you said Rossi was lucky not to take both him and Casey of. To me it was fantastic riding by Rossi to keep control of the bike and leave Casey room. Caseys crash was down to frustration and bad riding.

Rossis charisma... You have got to admit weather you love him or hate him Rossi has more personalilty than any one else in the MOTOGP paddock thats why he has more written about him than all the rest of the MOTOGP paddock put together

Rossi does bitch on about other riders but alot of this is phycoligey ( the only rider he has never got to is Lorenzo) Rossi might not be the best rider at the moment butI have been following bike racing from the mid sixties and to me Rossi is the GOAT

I haven't bent any facts. Just illustrated with examples that you can accuse any rider of what you accuse Stoner of.

But you're obviously one of those people who see Rossi as flawless and peerless. You keep on about this GOAT rubbish, yet by the measurement you use  he obviously isn't. If anyone beats him it's because they had superior equipment or Rossi was injured or whatever. Never because the other rider was simply better. In your world that condition can't exist.

Rossi has fallen out with just about every rider he has come into direct competition with. It has nothing to do with psychology, do you really believe that riders are affected by that sort of thing? He couldn't accept Elias had beaten him so he accused him of dirty tactics, weaving, chopping, blocking - you know, all the things that Rossi does that you describe as racecraft.

He's a large personailty yes, but I'm more interested in how they ride than that. Flawless and peerless he definitely isn't.

The fact that certain people can't let the Stoner thing go even though he isn't racing anymore shows just how much him being able to beat Rossi irritated them. Funny.

ROSSI

You have to admit rossi brings more fans to the sport than any other rider, and what do the fans bring? money!   that money keeps the sport alive so you have something to watch and complain about.

this just in from dainese

Considering the exaggerated echo of an article about the career of Valentino Rossi, we would like to highlight that the words published in the latest issue of the Dainese Legends magazine have been taken out from an old interview and consequently reported out of the original context. We wish to apologize for all the polemic comments that neither Valentino nor Dainese ever wanted to instigate.

And this just in from Superbikeplanet.com

The Yamaha's GP race team never wanted Rossi back according to Furusawa San. http://superbikeplanet.com/2012/Dec/121214z.htm.
