Casey Stoner memories: Jerry Burgess

In the fifth part of MCN’s exclusive series of Stoner memories, Valentino Rossi’s legendary crew chief Jerry Burgess gives his thoughts on his no-nonsense compatriot. “I think we all know Casey is special and enormously gifted on a motorcycle, When I think of Casey I still think of that young and fearless guy crashing that 250 that went on forever in...

I see Burgess is already being labelled as "Legendary" again, funny how that particular description of him ceased during the ducati debacle.

Thank God that

JB do not listen to some asswipes on here from the land of Sweety Tweety down yonder. Do the math for Rossi's age by the year 2006/2007.

Cant? he is 28 and his resume at that time is 7 World Championships and total domination. Who in there right mind would be tempted to go with a Rolling Stoner that never won shit and drop The GOAT.

What did Racey Sweety Tweety win from 2006 to 2012. Two World Championship. What did Rossi the GOAT win from 2006 to 2012. Two World Championship. JB did the right thing staying with a legend.

JB is laughing his way to the BANK. Something Sweety Tweety could never do and thank GOD again he did not or he would be collecting unemployment benefits, pension , etc. Never work for a yellow belly Sweety Tweety Aussie lil boy.

Next up for JB is 2 more years of million dollars payday before retirement. This is perfect timing for a smart and now old geezer.

Good thing he went with smart instead of countryman. He would have had to give Sweety Macey Tweety some man up lessons and fishing would not be it.

You know the asswipe that think JB regrets not taking on Racey Sweety Tweety thinks with the dried up Kangaroo shit for his brains.

Not to mention all the crap what Stoner had to endure from Rossi and his "legendary" crew chief best thing about it Casey made easy mince meat out of them by whooping them so hard where it hurt.

Milkybars can't stand Stoner, yet adornes his profile with Casey's photo. Your cognitive dissonance is amusing.

the question is what did he do?

they have a specialist for every component so he doesn`t make decisions about those......burgess ain`t an engineer who helps make the bike.......so he doesn`t have any imput on telemetry......seems like he sits there when rossi comes in,and watches him turn his hands from side to side to describe whats not right...then go goes and watches the lap times on the pit wall before going home

I think that comment is unjustified. Last year in Brno i had the pleasure of having a few pints with Jerry after the race. To describe Jerry as a passionate man about bikes would be a massive understatement. He lives and breathes them. His views, knowledge and opinions on them are very highly thought of and to be able to enjoy a discussion with him was a great experience. You know he has incredible talent or he wouldn't be where he is now.

LMAO

I can deal with my hero Rossi losing and rejoicing with his winning. At least I am not a bandwagon jumping lil shit like you. I don't have to jump over to some other rider like you always do.

Stiffen your spine and stand the fuck up. You sniveling, wimpering, whining, gutless, piece of smelly shit.

Back to back World Championship is what a real CHAMPION does. Not like some pretenders that come along and takes one in 2007 and then manages to do it in 2011 again. LMAO!!
