Colin Edwards: ‘I never considered retirement’

Colin Edwards reckons retiring from MotoGP was never an option he considered after a dismal 2012 on the struggling Suter-BMW CRT project. The popular Texan was the poster boy for the new CRT category that allowed teams to run highly tuned production-based engines in a prototype chassis. But having signed with the Forward Racing squad to campaign a Suter chassis and a...

Say what you will about Edwards, the bloke is an absolute work horse and is someone the younger riders should look up to. It will be a sad day when this bloke leaves the paddock.

Agree with you mate... Surely he'd be a contender there.  Maybe if Troy B hadnt left then he might have been more tempted.  Or maybe he just looks at the likes of Checa, and Biaggi, and realises that he could still complete his time at Forward and go to WSBK after.....  for another couple years :P

I just wished you would come back to WSBK and stop riding around on Cheap Riding Tools... Get on a good factory or semi factory bike and get some wins before retirement. CRT is the worst thing they couldve done to Snore O GP. Blue flag bikes.

He probably wouldn't be compensated as well in Supers. Can't argue with that, certainly not in his dotage..

No offense but...

... what the f*** are you thinking Edwards? Get on a Superbike man, CRT is just utter s***. No one cares about that "B" class, you get no attention in televised races (ok, 5 seconds per race) and the bikes are abominations. Best, You're biggest fan
