Its a simple explanation really. The guy chiseling the Mayan calender managed to snap his chesil and really couldn't be arsed to make a new one so called it quits. Just so happens that meant the world was to so called end nowish.

Bit of a bugger really I was quite looking forward to witnessing the armagedon. It would have produced a nice hot day, maybe get a bit of a tan plus I wouldn't  have to go to work the next day. Couldn't see my manager disputing my absence really.

Maybe next year then. :roll eyes:
