Front brakes binding after MOT

Hi folks,

After getting my uncles '97 Bandit 600 back on the road after two years of solitry confinement in his garage (poor thing) I had it serviced and through it's MOT.

Unfortunately, the brakes had completely seized and it took a whole rebuild of the brakes to get it back freewheeling.

A month later, they've started to bind, I know it's January but surely salt can't have built up behind the cylinder seals already?

Any suggestions anyone? Any advice is greatfully received!

Hi Benwijamin

Who rebuilt the calipers and were new parts used if so which parts were renewed?

Is the fault with the front only or is the rear the same as well?

First check should be to make sure that the master cylinder has not been over filled.

Cheers smidget

The work was carried out by my local MOT service station, nice guys to be honest, so I think I can presume that all the neccessary parts were replaced, and I'd guess they wouldn't overfill the master cylinder, but I'll be sure to check!

Thanks again!

Take it back to the service station, they cannot charge twice within a month or two,you could have more parts to pay for though.
