hi having problems adjusting my new clutch cable ...at lever end the screw is fully in .. and at engine end.. no matter how much i adjust the screw down or up i cant get it to tightening up... no bite at the lever end.... photo is this the way the clutch is meant to be... or is it to be further back

Why are you fitting a new cable?

Did you compare cables?

If you adjust the threaded part of the outer cable (out) at the engine on max and tighten the lock nut you should be able to adjust the threaded part at the lever around half way out/in.

Is the holding bracket at the engine side for the cable damaged/bent?

Usually the clutch lever at the engine is set at a right angle to the engine.

fitting new cable as i was not getting anybite from the old one and the bike was just rev'n a slippedclutch ?   changed oil my oil too

holding bracket looks normal...   not bent... set at a right angle...     will check the length of the cable with my old one making sure its the same.... should have done that first..

You could have something worn inside if no joy,hope it`s not the wrong oil fitted.

just messured the cable and the new cable is slightly longer ....     another week now without my hog on the road..
