Cheap Exhausts

Need a cheap aftermarket exhaust for my 06 SV650S

It's de-restricted in 4 days so I'd like something stubby and noisy to fit instead.

Oh

So I'd need a a full exhaust replacement?

Lots of people talk about cutting the OEM exhaust and I haven't heard any horror stories about it.

I think maybe you have misunderstood or maybe read my post incorrectly?if you read it i say your exhaust in a one piece unit so would need cutting and a link pipe fitted to both fit the original collector and the new after market end can.If you open the sites of MTC i posted for you(all you need to do is click on either of them)the second one shows pictures of Suzuki SV 650 with said link pipe fitted to the earlier model, but there would be little difference with your 2006 model bar the oxygen sensor fitment which MTC probably do now anyway.I am only trying to help to try and prevent you having a horror story, these are the facts and me or you cannot change them. Good Luck

Indeed..

As kcmc says you will have to do a cut and shut. It is a one way trip tho, once you cut yours off its off for good (it could be welded back on but would look scruffy)!

Well worth it tho for the sound it releases..

You do not need a full system.

I can tell you would just like to argue

(i don't know why:huh:as i said before, only trying to help )but i think you will find that the Suzuki SV 650 has had a oxygen sensor in the exhaust from the 2003 model onwards as this was the year of the first fuel injected bikes.

Rotop...

I'm not suggesting you buy this system (full) but if you scroll down you will clearly see that the seller mentions the Lambda (O2) sensor...Now wether you would just disconnect the sensor from the wiring harness or wire it in such a way as to fool the ECU into thinking it was still present I do not know, but I can tell you that when the sensor failed on my er6 the bike still ran but the F1 light remained lit.

full system.

Reading... some people do it

"This version is for the 2006 bike and doers not have provision for the lambda (02) sensor."
