Yamaha TZR 1kt / R1Z

Hi guys , first time on the site

I bought myself a Yamaha R1Z the other day and as I was driving m front sprocket jumped off, only did I realise the bolt that should be keeping the sprocket together jumped of and is missing in action. Is their anything i can do to lock the sprocket again without waiting 3 weeks for yamaha. If you guys perhaps know the size of the nut can make a plan. Thanks

Yamaha TZR 250cc R1Z Year?

Hi PieterR1Z and welcome to the site :smile

Sorry i don't know what size the nut is that holes the drive sprocket on,but have you also ordered a lock washer with the new nut?also when fitting the new nut put a drop of thread lock on the shaft/ nut when torquing(65ft-lb) and tabbing up.Also would be a great help if you could state the year and CC of your bike for others to maybe be able to help you,the more info the better Good Luck

Still have your R1-Z?

Hi Pieter,

I've been a R1-Z owner for about 10 years - and just decided to create a R1-Z FB group for owners and enthusiasts - Please join the group and post some pics of your bike and anything R1-Z related - let's build a group where people can go for info, pics, and feel like a R1-Z family...
