A bit too overlooked
Reading the thread is disappointing, as people just seem to argue over everything! The article says it all yet people still continue to chat sh!t?
The fact is, no one has seen the livery and it wont be a monster energy bike like tech 3, it will just feature some monster logos as they are a big sponsor, and it says that Yamaha still need a title sponsor.
The deal is for raised awareness as a part of the marketing of monster and is complementary to Rossi's personal deal. The reason they do this is to raise brand awareness and make consumers associate their company with the worlds greatest extreme sporting legends, e.g. rossi, ken block, nate adams.
I doubt Lorenzo is annoyed, he will have a better contract with a bigger company paying more money, he wasn't happy with rockstar as the article states, and Yamaha paid off the contract issues and the new deal will benefit his publicity and also monsters, and this is why they want him! Monster buy the champions, for marketing and marketing only, nothing to do with Rossi's return, because as far as they are concerned, Rossi brings more money, whether you like him or not! Lorenzo has the best chance (arguable) to win the championship, and they want him on board.
