New BMW R1200GS Test - What Do you Want To Know?

This week our intrepid road tester Chad jets off to South Africa for the launch of BMW's all-new R1200GS super-traillie. With stiff competition from KTM this year, BMW have strove to out-do themselves (and the opposition), with a new air/water cooled engine making 125bhp, new chassis and new semi-active electronic suspension. What do you want to know about the bike? Ask us...

New GS

Does it suffer from; gearbox clonk, fierce brakes and where in the rev range are the vibration patches?

Does the new screen actually deliver a quiet ride - after years of trying & failing with aftermarket screens & mounting modifications to get a GS where my ears can stand to go as far as the bike can it is my one big question.

What's it like in this weather, in the UK? Is Chad taking the "Long Way Down" ? Why the off road tyres? What's the Pointy bit on the front for? Will Chad wear all the usual Motorad uniform?

Heat

Since you are going to be in SA which is where I am, and you will be in the middle of Summer, will heat be a issue on the bike since each of the radiators point straight at your knees. If it is a hot day, will be interesting to know as the previous one doesn't have any heat issues. Thanks and enjoy!
