Givi

I've had a Givi top plate on the bike since about 2002.  Used to tour a lot, so this was great.  Often swapped top-boxed with the o/h as the top-boxes were all interchangeable on the plates.  (Mine is 30L, his is 50L)

Six years ago, I lost the keys to mine.  (Another story)  Last weekend, I spied a natty 30L box, tall enough to put a helmet in for 39 euros.  Bargain!  Chuffed to bits.  Can go out in the morning with a jumper on, and then stuff it in the box on the ride home, when it's warmed up.  Or, can buy something, without having to panic about where to put it.  Or - so I thought...

New Givi top-box doesn't fit on old Givi top-plate.  New Givi top-plate doesn't fit on Givi side-rails.  Givi don't make rails for ZX-9's now.

Feckin B*ll*cks.

Thankfully, the o/h is very clever and, after 2 days of figuring it out, has now managed to make everything fit.

Photos will be available after the next ride out (probably on Sunday)!!

Givi luggage

You could always get replacement keys and locks for the old GIVI hard luggage:-

The MonoLOCK and MonoKEY systems were/are different. Sounds like you had a mixture of the 2..
