Rossi's gone from saying how Casey wasn't trying hard enough on the Ducati to failing totally on the Ducati, to switching back to Yamaha & being fairly realistic about his chances on it... smart moves. To get any dumber he'd need to have said how Edwards was a pussy & his CRT could be a winner.

Rossi's on record as saying that he learned nothing from his 2 years at Ducati... I beg to differ... he seems (at the moment) to have learned to control his gob.

Crashes, DNFs and DNS' littered his career, leaving a big black mark over his ability to learn, adapt and go forward stronger. His race craft sucked.

Stoner calls Jorge for settling for second, gathering safe points and taking the title, but fails to acknowledge his dumb arse tactictcs, foolish pride inability to deal with pressure, were the reason he scuttled off back to boonie land a broken man..3rd on the best bike, flogged by his team mate.

Fastest over one lap if he lucked into a setting and it wasn't the wrong time of the month..maybe.

Dani beat him 4 seasons out of 7, the same as Rossi..

Jorge beat him 3 out of 5.

Outside of the two seasons which gave him OVER HALF his race win tally, when he had the best bike by miles, he was no better than average.

Yeah, but statistically he got more wins & points than anyone else during his time racing... that means he was better, yeah?... he was equal with Rossi & JL on championship wins &, including his rookie year when he was 8th, has exactly the same championship average as Rossi over that period. JL has been better over the time JL's been racing (though has the advantage of not having to do a stint on the Ducati) as has Rossi... but that's not in question... you're saying Stoner wasn't in the time he was racing which is clearly wrong.

He won more races than any other rider over those years... that's not 1 lap lucky that's every lap of every one of those races at race winning pace.

You know all this & you know you're wrong... do you just like hearing it over & over again? Do you like hearing having how good he was rubbed in repeatedly? You want to keep Stoner's memory alive by arguing it every time?

Sport is full of people who had talent but not the mental fortitide..athlete's who failed to reach their full potential.

Don't you find it odd that with a set of statistics many claim proves his dominance, he got beaten by every single alien more often than not?

The championship is what really matters and to win it you have to put a season together, which involves dealing with pressure. That he couldn't cope was plain, so he jacked. Ran away.

Stoner's weakness was his flaky personality and negative attitude which, at the top level, counts for more than being fast when there's fk all at stake..
