they were happy days. My jacket weighed about a ton with all the studs and badges on. I still have my boots and white socks tucked away at the back of the wardrobe. I can't quite bring myself to part with them yet.

Mind you, if I'd known then what I'd be riding now (now I'm so old) I would never have believed such amazing bikes were possible. I count myself lucky I survived long enough to find out.

Nice to look back on though.

simpler days, but those sea boot socks, boots that zipped up at the back, old smelly leather, crap tyres and as much oil on the outside of my T110 as there was inside ! It was my transport then and thank christ it's not now :laugh:

Quite so. I wouldn't choose to go back. Electric start must be the best invention ever. And winter clothing's come on a bit since the 60's too :smile
