if this is true

The people of Scotland are said to be having an identity crisis after it turns out the haggis was in fact invented in Lancashire, England.
This was further confounded by the fact that the bagpipes originated in the middle east and the kilt was just something gay Gordon fancied wearing.

my understanding re the crusty bit

of the pasty is that the tin miners used to eat the soft bit of the pasty then chuck the hard crusty bit down the mine as a sort of gift for the piskies. sort of fiaries/little people or some such [bit like gremlins]... RAF sort not the film sort] who lived down the mines and would cause all sorts of bother if they didnt get the odd gift.

Sorry, i'll get my coat.
