OUT TODAY!

Pre-user checks on the 12R done.

Thermals at the ready.

Been to work in car this morning so recce'd roads. They're nearly dry and the salt has been washed off them by rain all night.

Not ridden for 2 weeks, so take it easy for a bit.

Here we go!

Did 120 miles and a tankful

Plymuff to Bodmin on A38 through the Glyn Valley, then to Lifton Farm shop for a Paaaastie. Whizz along what was the A30 many years ago with a quick stop for a photo at Jethro's Ranch.

Bit damp in places, but mostly dry and not that cold. In fact it must have been positively tropical, coz I got whacked by a few flies. Man those things can shift. They must have hit my visor at  about 180 to squash themselves like that.:winkie:

A few at Sourton Cross.
Twas a Dark visor day.
Stopped at "The strangest pub in britain" http://www.thehighwaymaninn.net/ for a pic.

Then A386 via Tavistock back to Cap'n Jaspers for a chinwag with some Plymouth bikers.

Blew some cobwebs away. V enjoyable.:smile:smile:smile

Ally

Glad you got out. Big grins are needed in long winters like these.

Beacon; Don't blame you, but it wasn't really like winter today in Deb'n n Kernow.

Snow had just cleared

yesterday, so managed to find a clear line up our lane. I was only out for a little while. Thought it felt nippy and saw it was below freezing when I got back.

Felt really good, though

Even nicer today

Not got much time to ride though, so it will be a short local one.

Oldish & Rog - Thanks, yeah the Kwak is alright (now). I bought it fairly cheap nearly 2 years ago and got someone else's pile of shoite to be frank.
They had changed the camchain and not re-assembled the engine properly, leaving the clips off an oil feed pipe. Said pipe came out of it's recess at one end and starved the crank of oil causing No.3 big end to wipe.

I know the bike literally inside out now as I had to rebuild it. The only bits I didn't strip were the gears from the shafts. It goes like feck and eats standard Busa's for breakfast.

I've still got the Blade Oldish. The pic of it was taken the day after I met you at Ma Larkins a few years ago. It pissed down all afternoon, so this was after a good clean.
