2004 Hornet 600 splutter

Alryt folks, basically my 2004 Hornet has had this terrible splutter below 3.5/4000 rpm for a while now and I'm not sure whats causing it, also when I crack the throttle initially its a bit lathargic to pick up for a second. I used to have restrictors fitted in the carbs and thought that once they were out it would run alot smoother but it doesn't really, ive had the carbs cleaned out and balanced and new plugs fitted but it still splutters at slight throttle/ low revs, when I open it up however, its fine. I have a SP engineering stuby can fitted, with the baffle in, as it runs worse with the baffle out plus its f***ing loud  I used to have a longer micron can with no baffle and it ran the same then so it cant be entirely exhaust related

Any ideas as to what the issue may be? Does it need a rejet or something I'm not too good with the engine side of things

Hornet splutter

Could be carb icing.

Splutter

I think it`s a weak mixture on the pilot jet feed (up to 3,000rpm usually).Who set the pilot/air mixture?

You may have to go bigger and reset.

Ignore E.E.C. emmisions.
