Stoner completes four-wheel switch

Casey Stoner has ended months of speculation about his future by finally confirming he will race a V8 Supercar in Australia in 2013. The double MotoGP world champion, who retired after finishing third in a rain-hit Valencia race last November, will drive a Red Bull-backed Triple Eight Holden in the Dunlop Series, which is a feeder series to the main V8...

ok then

Does anybody think Casey has the ability to do as well as Rossi has on 4 wheels.
I hear Rossi is thinking of entering the series as a wildcard for a one off race in that series.

Ha Buell...

That would be cool, but would bore the hell out of a couple of people I could name straight away... if it's not bikes they're not interested.

Good luck

Good luck tp casey but I just cant see him cutting it in V8 super cars. He was bloody quick on a bike if no one was near him but his overtaking and racing skills were sadly lacking. V8 super cars are a lot closer and more competiive than MOTOGP and their is a lot more cut and thrust. Sorry Casey but I just dont think you will have what it takes but I hope you prove me wrong

Interesting... LS 2008, widely credited as one of the best races of the last few years & as an example of Rossi's racing skills, he actually only did one less overtake than Rossi (who, of course, went off track in the completion of one of them). Stoner did lead from the front a lot but then he qualified at the front a lot so it goes without saying that unless people can keep up with him he ain't gonna be doing a lot of overtaking.

What if he's just gonna have a bit of fun? the team and sponsors will get plenty of air time so they will be happy and maybe stoner just wants to enjoy himself a bit, oh and did anyone else see that he hasn't ruled out a return to motogp if thinks change there.

come on

Nobody deserves to get spat at or knocked off their scooter or booed at.
These type are not racing fans they just pick who they like and who they do not like and if their hero does not win they resort to abusing other competitors.
Scum.
