power valve

Dear Sirs,

My freind has a Yamaha R6 2008.  When he brought it, it was derestricted. He has taken all the restricter kit off, but it has the power valve switched off at the diagnostics. How does he reativate it, which buttons does he push.
Regards
Patrick Ryan

Yamaha YZF R6 2008

Hi cbrhonda907 and welcome to the site:smile

Don't really understand what you mean:wacko:(When he brought it, it was derestricted. He has taken all the restricter kit off, )

I don't understand if when he bought the bike it was derestricted,so then he took the restictor kit off?.Don't know if its just me? but why would he take a kit off something that isn't resticted?so hasn't got one?.

The bike has an Exhaust valve, which is only there to keep the Decibel level down to a minimum at lower RPMs to meet sound laws, not a power valve to increase bottom end torque. Is it that he is getting a fault code which you have found to relate to a fault with the exhaust valve system?????.

KCMC:tongue:
