Dark side of the moon

30th anniversay. Long live the music of Pink Floyd

RIP  Rick Wright.

Not a track from Dark Side Of The Moon but one I like for a particular reason, and such a sad thing that Rick Wright depated the planet too damn early. Wish he was still here, we'll not see music like this made much these days.

How about these?

Those 4 notes at 4:20 in this version and the power chords at 13:54 make the hairs on the back of neck stand up when played REALLY LOUD.

And this one

I wish I hadn't got so wasted at Knebworth in 1975!
I was near where that attempt at an arrow is.

40 ?

according to Planet Rock today it's 30 --- but hey whatever at my age time means ---- fuckin everything

Lucky buggers who saw them live, from 1970 I was busy with a military life and got to see groups like --- Slade  live in the NAAFI at St Athan.

Think Floyd are the best tribute band I've seen and I believe they are are still going ? again that's according to Planet Rock on the radio today.

Roger Waters, to me was the driving force behind Pink Floyd and such a pity that two big ego's (him and Dave Gilmore) clashed. Who knows what would have developed if they had got along better ?

Water's music is 'interesting' his staging of the Wall in Berlin in 1991 was brilliant and his CD Amused To Death is something I listen to (alone) regularly, Tim Pierce's guitar on 'what god want's' gives me goose bumps same as Jeff Beck's on the next to last track 'it's a miracle' then into the last track 'amused to death' Tequila plus this CD has to be on my tod ! years ago when nina was on nights and I couldn't be left alone with a bottle of Tequila 4 things saved my sanity, my dog Blue, my old Vulcan, the music of Pink floyd and the music of Roger Waters.

I am now completely sane
