New battery?

I recently had problems starting my xr125 which was temporarily resolved by charging my battery and my electric start was noticeably stronger and started the bike quicker than ever, but the problem has returned after a week or 2. Is the battery definitely naff then or could there be a different problem?

low volts

If your battery voltage dropped to about 5 volts when you pressed the starter button, it's time for a new battery.

battery

A good sealed  battery in service (the morning after) should read about 12.8v ,also a top up battery should read about 12.6v.

Yours is not holding or storing charge.

When you get the bike running check the charging voltage at the battery at 3,000rpm.

Battery

I've ordered the new battery:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Motorcycle-Battery-YTX5L-BS-Honda-XR125-XR-125-2003-08-/160584576144?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item2563962c90

should do the trick, i'll give it a charge and get it installed hopefully by monday or tuesday and take some reading from it to hopefully confirm that it has sorted the problem out.

Thanks for all the help.
