Tyre age...

Hi,

I have a 2008 V-Strom 1000GT with the original boots fitted.  The bike has only covered 1800 miles. Obviously the the tyres still have lots of wear left in them . There are no signs of cracking in either the walls or tread of the tyres but I'm a little concerned that they may need replacing due to their age.
Any assistance very much appreciated

Tyres

Tyres will usually go off with age but the environment in which they are kept also makes a difference.  I would guess that if they feel OK then they probably are.

Michelin say . .

Inspect thoroughly after 5yrs and definitely replace after 10yrs.
