I always thought the idea of a parliamentary democracy was that all sides came together to discuss different point of views and at the end of a debate some people will have changed their minds and a vote is held. In the EU those who have a different point of view are seem as obstructive and timewasters - it's a rubber stamp parliament there to do the will of the executive. 


Honestly their attitude to the people is becoming properly like 1984 - your opinion can not differ from that of "the party" and they know best. It doesn't matter what referendums say, they'll do what they want regardless and they'll "elect" people to preside over the entire EU without giving the people a vote.

Can you imagine what would happen in America if they decided that only the representatives of states could vote for the President? There'd be an uproar. 500,000,000 people are now 'ruled' by the EU and it's president - I've never heard of him, I don't want him and the sooner he fucks off, the better... sort of paraphrasing Nigel Farage there.

If this is what politics is really like it's the Westminster (and Brussels) civil servants we should be lynching! Lol (Lol added to stop said Euro-trolls from taking this out of context and insinuating that I really wish civil servants to be rounded up by a lynch mob, taken to London bridge and thrown off with ropes around their necks, which of course is a draconian measure only to be attempted after a referendum on the 1st day of parliament, provided the speaker of the house is wearing green socks).

Nb. by civil servants I do not mean the hard working staff in the NHS, Police Force, Fire Brigade etc. It's the bureaucrats that we need to be rid of.

For me, the most insidious EU idea, if you can imagine what that's saying, is the compulsory teaching of the benefits of the EU in schools.

Do they really enforce teaching of pro-EU propaganda in schools? Surely both sides to the argument should be taught so as to give our children skills of critical appraisal and an open minded, non drone like approach to life?

EDIT: Civil wars? I can see how they'd want the EU to be seen as one state but Japan? North Africa? The US? Is Okinawa one of the 27 EU states? Disgusting. You can't alter history like that. History is written by the victors anyway so it'll be mostly biased by us regardless but once that's over with it should not be messed with unless facts are found to be different!
