Valentino Rossi shines on factory Yamaha return

Rossi showed a disastrous two-year spell with Ducati has not blunted his confidence or skills and the 33-year-old topped the timesheets for a period in the early part of the...

Well done

Rossi has shown everyone today that 2 years on a red rocking horse has not effected his speed and race craft, he can only improve and I think his biggest problem will be Marquez this season, as he is without doubt fast and a very quick learner.

Those new Ducati boys need to find some more speed, or they're going to be a joke.

You should know by now, these Stoner fanboys are always distorting facts and figures, they're 'fisherman's friends' all in the same tin, lol.

Great start from Rossi and no doubt plenty to come, set the time on last years bike before things really got going.. I do wish folk would stop fixating on stoner testing lap, He had a shocking race at sepang 2012 and Rossi sets his bike up for racing and overtaking not for a fast lap. he was apparently faster than the race record last year on a tyre with 27 laps on it so he's defo on course.. You really need to see the lap analysis to see if he's fast enough.. Brilliant from the other front runners as well, all the way to 7th I think.. Looking great for the season.

hey scarecrows aka stonerphiles

Start clutching at straws wankers...Not to shabby by the great one...4/10ths off the speed of the 2 guys that rode those bikes last year, and the guy that had a private 3 day test a month or so ago. Rossi improved by 8/10 from last year, and dovi got worse by the same amount. Must be that dovi is too old and should retire...the goalposts have been moved eh nostro? We all know that its not the bike. According to nostrils the bike is awesome and now that dovis on it it will be great...oooooops wrong again...After rossi has some time on the M1, his times will be even closer. Also rossi set his time at noon, and it was fastest for a while. He stopped chasing times adter lunch and focused on the new motor, so there is more to come. Looks like we have 4 aliens again. Crutchlow is in for a rude awakening thinking that last years performance was rossis true skill level...bubye wont be battling with rossi this year
