Valentino Rossi shines on factory Yamaha return

Valentino Rossi made a brilliant return to Yamaha’s factory MotoGP squad in Malaysia today, the nine-times world champion ending the first day of 2013 pre-season testing with the fourth quickest time. Rossi showed a disastrous two-year spell with Ducati has not blunted his confidence or skills and the 33-year-old topped the timesheets for a period in the early part of the...

The sad thing is

Half the people who have been bad mouthing Rossi and calling him a mid packer actually Know better, Jeez the pro Rossi fans gave Casey a hard time and under estimated his brilliance. I get it, but let's move on it was two years ago. Rossi was always going to be on the pace back on a factory Yamaha and a regular podium finisher this year. The lack of competitive bikes in the field and his proven track record guarantee that IMO. As to whether he will be in the hunt for the title will remain to be seen though

Where's NOSTRO

When my kids were young they had a book called "WHERE's WHALLEY"

I think I'll have the buy them the new version. It's called "WHERE's NOSTRO".

If things continue in this vain it could be a very quiet year for old NOSTRO.

as expected.....

Ducati nowhere and as for rossi near the top....he's nearly half a second down on pedrosa and lorenzo......10 to 15 seconds over race distance.......hopefully he's settling into it or the only way he'll be seeing the winner this season is through binoculars

Does it trouble you Casey couldnt better Valentino? two world titles each and pretty even in terms of race wins before the Ducati switch. Rossi's only real fault? he couldnt get on with the Duke ( and Ducati cant keep up with the Japanese) Rossi has been a man for all classes and blows casey clean out of the water , 125 ,250 ,500 990. 800. something Casey NEVER managed. More race wins on a 800? ra ra....
