don't think their

Air Force is (was?) any better...used to go down to the Holbeach Marsh bombing range in the wash and watch the bombing/strafing runs....that old flourescent orange (?!?) enemy 'ship' on the mudflats never seemed to get bothered that much!!....though the noise and feel of an A10 on a strafing run was the dog danglies....:smile

Actually

thinking about it, I don't think that their rules of engagement would allow firing on an unarmed civilian aside from a single warning shot. They should arrest if they're unarmed and somewhere where they shouldn't be.

I'm

not surprised - they act as though they're Gods gift to the world and just the manner in which they handle their weapons shows you just how unprofessional they can be.

That said, if you need firepower...

....just don't expect it to be in the right place.

I know

that the local US base even has petrol at US prices, which really annoys me, lol. But yeh they have shops there and they all use USD on base.

I knew a couple of Americans who lived on base and they were some of the nicest, politest, least egotistical people you could ever meet. Reports of finding a sub machine gun laying around unattended on base however does give cause for concern.

Never noticed any bad driving whilst I was round there though - that said I used to drive through Bradford and I think only London tops that for bad driving.

A sense of contentment being conveyed there.
