Some pubs..

But, no, mostly I don`t like pubs. I used to before they all tried to become the same as each other.

Here`s a pub....you walk in and there`s a few empty tables, a few folk at the bar, a fruit machine that belts out noise and flashes lights even though nobody is interested in it. The landlord/lady feels the need not only to play music, but play it loudly safe in the knowledge that his/her taste is of course what we customers know to be best, and ok, we can`t have a conversation over the din, but at least we can enjoy their choice in music.
How many pubs have you been in where they have the telly on (with sound) and music over the top of it? Mad.
Yes the beers too pricey and thats probably the tax, I don`t know, I`ve long since lost interest.
The village where I used to live had a pub where the landlord refused to have fruit machines, music or telly and it was the best pub I`ve ever been to anywhere. People talked. People made friends for life. We had great nights.
No. You can keep yer modern pubs. But good luck with the petition.

Pubs

Same here, most local pubs now Indian restaurants, they must get the buildings cheap.
