Chris, look at the link to Peter Zwanns and see how much that 1200 Bandit went for, 5,700 km on it (3,700 miles) and recognise the green Honda he's selling ? The Bandit was a good buy for someone it's condition was like new not a mark on it.

Peter doesn't sell any rubbish but some of the beemers and Transalps are his ex hire bikes. He's Dutch and pretty straight up, that bandit was in real good order and the price came down and down, the trade in system here is not to my liking, that bike was basically sold on franchise, the previous owner bought a bike leaving his old one to be sold and the fiscal situation here is, everyone wants something cheap. There wasn't a mark on the bandit, an 05 bike with 3,700 miles on it ? someone got a good bike at a nice price. I did think about it but it's not the road I want to go down at this stage, the Triumph Thunderbird Storm is in my head and wreaking havoc

happy days

nice to see the old girl still knocking about, do you realise that gutless old girl brought about the final metamorphosis in my biking history, and ffs that bandit went rather cheaper than i expected, might be giving him a call in a few more weeks.

an abiding memory of you going up the Autovia to return the Transalp with you feet up on the engine bars

rog

i remember it like it was yesterday, and that bike started a whole new chapter in my biking life, like riding some thing that offers a bit of comfort instead of being doubled up in a racing crouch ,and having to stop every 60 miles to straighten up, and now comfort is the priority balls to out and out speed, comfort over speed wins it every time, the last time we were out on the 14 we clocked near enough 500 miles in one sunday and had we got more light im sure we would have gone further.
