Very fake.

No cockpit crash footage, no aftermath... If they really had destroyed a $10.7 million helicopter for TV, they'd be in serious debt right now :P Not bad CG work though.

I still reckon

the Canadian collage dudes with their Eagle thing was better, better done and more believable.

Bring down a heli by pointing a camera at it, over qualified pilot v's gezza in the car.

And pilot fails

why is it

so definately a fake?.......crash looks pretty authentic, as in pilot tries too tight a turn and helicopter crashes......blade would have had no affect on crash as they are relatively flimsy, and although not cheap, they are not the most modern heli, you can get one for a mere 1 million dollars........

????????

The helicopter was a military helicopter which would have been owned by the korean government/ people. When the military are invited to these types of shows they see it as good publicity and rate it as a training exercise. In this case the pilot (who was a military pilot - they're the only ones licencsed to fly these types of aircraft!!) dropped a massive clanger and basically flew in to the ground but that's no different than if they had done that in any other training exercise. The korean public will unfortunately pick up the tab for that reckage and the pilot is likely to be given his leaving cards.

The program producers will not have to pay for the cost of the helicopter as it was being flown by a military pilot under the auspicies of military control.
