safestyle UK and my Mother.......Grrrr

They called again, and I told her under no circumstances to talk to them, they have my number and to deal with me.

What she gone and done, ????? booked them in for 4 weeks time... OK you say....??? she is in hospital for a massive operation in 2 weeks time, (was earlier but she has had a few complications) recovery 6-8 weeks minimum with treatment.

I went ballistic, in fact I've blown a spark plug.  She was only telling me off today as I have a bit of a dodgy ticker and not to get stressed.  I flaming give up. Not sure who to be more cross at now:mad:

These company's love dealing with older more trusting people, or people who have problems, then they can charge what they want.
They ended up fitting my door and frame for less than I could have bought one retail.

They all seem to play the same game, give a top price (surprising how many people just pay it), then if you um and ah, they'll lower the price with special one off offers, then go outside to pretend to ring head office, come back in blah blah blah.

Safestlye must have an high turn over of staff, as it seems to be a different caller every time they ring.

too true Norris

this is the second time they have done it, it's difficult dealing with an older parent but who's not quite in the dementia status yet.

They can be so bloody difficult to deal with and companies like this are even harder

next time they call just say 'please hold the line, your call is important to us', then put the receiver near a speaker and play the 'Ace of spades'.Repeat each time they call.:smile

i work on ward

that specialises in dementia even if she hasnt got a formal diagnosis and has cognitive impairment surely you can say she was not of sound judgement to enter a contract. I would contact age uk and trading standards they may be able to give you advice.

have missunderstood your early post when you said shes not quite dementia yet ( i though you ment your mam had some from of memory impairment etc). I generally find age uk are great for us for advice and do alot of things for our patients when they go home, do first shop etc and sure at least they could give you advice.

Maybe kannchat

needs to get his own life. Don't be angry with him bb41, pity is needed. He obviously has issues that only a professional can deal with. I mean why put a catflap on a chastity belt, defeats the object surely :lol:
