Meet my new bike

I've still got Goldie the Gixxer, the new arrival is a second bike for relaxed rides on sunny days :sunglasses:

I've always fancied getting one of these, so when a good deal came along I decided to go for it...

I know it won't be to everyone's taste, so just remember the old saying - if you can't say anything nice, don't say anything at all! :winkie:

Yeah, I still expect the gixxer to be the main bike, but at the moment I'm sitting with 9 points, so it's nice to have the option of a bike that won't pick up any more points - the Harley just doesn't encourage you to go fast, unlike that naughty gixxer :winkie:

You lucky man.

I miss mine so much. The pictures caused a big tug on the heartstrings. They are just something special and unlike any other bike. Hope we get a nice summer so you can get out and play often. You can now take countersteering to a whole new level. I'm very jealous.

Thanks mate. I like your suggestion about moving to the sun :smile It must be so good being able to ride through the winter in pleasant temperatures and never seeing a feckin gritting lorry!

Thanks :smile It's hard not to make comparisons between the Harley and the crotch rocket. I guess it'll just take time and a few more miles for me to suss it all out.

New bike

Congrats on the new bike.  If you are going to own two, it's great to have bikes that are different - and you can't get more opposite ends of the scale than a Gixer and a Harley.  Enjoy!

Vulcanrider....

did you try an Harley before you picked the Vulcan....I've never ridden any of them, but as far as I can see, all the Harley has straight out of the box is big  noise, but then with big cubes and almost straight through pipes, that's to be expected.....they're like some curmudgeonly old uncle who wears old style (but expensive)clogs, and even though you tell him there's much nicer more comfortable clogs out there, he insists on wearing the old, very expensive clogs, but he keeps buying expensive laces, segs and studs to put on them.
